Built from the ground up. Grown into a family.

Founded in 2006 by Sam Silva, Lucas Builders began as a certified Minority- and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, rooted in a mission to create opportunity, deliver quality, and uplift people through construction. What started as a small, hardworking crew has since grown into a 100-person strong, family-operated company—committed to excellence and grounded in community values.

With over 38 years of industry experience, our founder brought leadership and vision shaped by a career in both the private construction sector and the U.S. Navy Seabees. That foundation of discipline, integrity, and innovation continues to guide every project we touch.

As we’ve grown, so has our status. Today, Lucas Builders is proud to operate as a certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE)—a reflection of our expansion and evolution, while still staying true to our roots in inclusion and opportunity. We’ve built our team to reflect the diverse communities we serve and remain committed to supporting local workforce development.
